Oona Doherty will share ‘Lady Magma’ – a new work in development – and also perform ‘Helium’ as part of a three-day showcase of new work from Northern Irish artists, and The State of the Art Symposium, presented by Prime Cut Productions.

Sharing of a new work in development ‘Lady Magma’ by Oona Doherty

‘Lady Magma’ will premiere in 2019. This new work explores the different facets of femininity, lust, love, madness and deep groove. Oona will share her process so far and a film by Luca Trufarelli – a rare chance to have an insight into the process of an exceptional dancer and choreographer.

Prime Cut were one of the key producers of Oona Doherty’s breathtaking work ‘Hard To Be Soft – A Belfast Prayer’ which premiered in the MAC in 2017 and has since been an International sensation. Oona will perform ‘Helium’ episode 4 of Hard To Be Soft – this is the first time Belfast audiences will see Oona perform this moving exploration of masculinity.
