Dance Resource Base exists to support the dance community in Northern Ireland. We provide practical facilities, resources and services for those involved in dance and advocate to raise the profile of the art form. Dance Resource Base was incorporated in December 2006.
We aim to:
LINK – by building networks of support for people involved in or wishing to access dance;
SERVE – by providing information services and training opportunities for the dance sector; and
STRENGTHEN – by acting as an advocate for the dance sector.
Dance Resource Base is a membership organisation. We offer a range of resources and support services, all of which can be viewed by visiting the members’ page.
Dance Resource Base has a comprehensive database of our diverse and growing membership, which includes professional dance artists, choreographers, teachers, health professionals, arts organisations, venues, educational institutions and members of the public with an interest in dance.

Board members are elected by the membership annually at Dance Resource Base’s Annual General Meeting. Board members support the organisation through strategic development, policy making and artistic visioning and encompass a range of skills including expertise in dance, creativity and business.
Dance Resource Base employs one full-time employee, a General Manager, and one part-time employee, an Administration Assistant. The General Manager is responsible for the day-to-day running of the organisation and actively drives forward the vision of the company. The current General Manager for the organisation is Kelly-Anne Collins.
Dance Resource Base is an Annually Funded client of the Arts Council of Northern Ireland. We have also received further support from the Arts Council of Northern Ireland and the Department for Culture, Arts and Leisure through The Creative Industries Innovation Fund (2010/11) from the Arts Council of Northern Ireland through the Equipment Grant Award Scheme (2010/11) and the National Lottery through the Arts Council of Northern Ireland’s Small Grants Programme (2011/2013).
